We are continuing our relationship with the multi award-winning Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Bristol through their new startup accelerator.

‘Runway’ is a new student and graduate start-up accelerator at the University of Bristol which aims to turn fledgling ideas into high growth businesses.

The accelerator, launched with a £750,000 investment, gives students and recent graduates access to co-working space, mentoring and funding. All of the Centre’s teaching staff are entrepreneurs who can help with everything from patenting ideas to connections with funding teams.

Runway also offers: private meeting rooms, breakout space and professional presentation venues, access to student consultants and interns, designers and prototyping facilities, and financial support from the new ‘Jim and Peggy Wilkinson Innovation Fund’.

Tom Ellson, Director of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship said: “Without donations from supporters like the Jim and Peggy Wilkinson Foundation we would not be making the step change we can announce today.”

Mark Neild, Programme Director for Runway, said: “Runway is where student start-ups take off and we’re excited to see it become an inspiring space full of energetic young entrepreneurs.

“All of our staff have real-world business experience so we can help with the nuts and bolts of founding a venture, but also the psychological stuff: dealing with imposter syndrome, staying disciplined, that sort of thing.”

We’re so excited to announce that we have partnered with GEN UK as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (8-14 Nov 2021) to create seven mini-visualisations for young entrepreneurs.

Visualisation is a skill that can empower you to level up in any aspect of your life. In our previous post, we explored the 5 areas of benefit that we focus on at VIVE. So many successful entrepreneurs like Oprah Winfrey, Steve Jobs and Steven Bartlett, to name a few, have used the power of visualisation to improve their lives.

And now, we’re bringing that power to you. Each day a new visualisation will be released on GEN UK’s YouTube channel that you can use to boss your day.
